Threaded Texture Series

This series was created using pieces of my original acrylic mixed media artworks that were cut into shapes, machine sewn with black thread, and collaged onto canvas panels covered with aged book text papers. The panels were then adhered to birchwood panels and the sides were painted black.  These artworks are not only a visual but a tactual experience as some of the threads have been left frayed. Several of the pieces were created using the same large mixed media artwork and would look very nice in an arrangement.
